Family lifestyle sessions can feel so chaotic and stressful, right?! From trying to coordinate outfits to finding the perfect date, to keeping everyone happy, it can be a lot! But, it doesn’t have to be! I want your session to be filled with happy smiles, joyful laughs, and memories you’ll hold close for years to come. Here are my top tips for making your family lifestyle session fun and stress-free!
Finding outfits for family photos is a big deal! Before you spend all your time and money coordinating everything, remember that comfort is key! Don’t let an idea of what you think you and your family might want to wear, or what you see others wearing, cloud what you know everyone will be comfortable wearing. Your little ones will be running around and playing, and you’ll probably be chasing right after them, so find things that are easy to move in! Don’t force your babies to wear something they can’t be themselves in. We want to see their personalities SHINE!
Guess what?! I’m a mom too, so TRUST ME when I say, I GET IT!! Kids will be kids…so let them. Embrace the chaos of your family lifestyle session and try not to hyper-fixate on everything and everyone being perfect. Perfect families don’t exist! I’m here for the chaos, the playing, the singing and dancing, the fun and giggles. Even the tears and big feelings! Everything will be OKAY! Everything might not be all sunshine and rainbows, and that is perfectly okay. Let’s have fun enjoying the beautiful, perfect, and FUN chaos that is your family.
My biggest tip for making your family lifestyle session fun and stress-free?! RELAX. Easier said than done, I know. But, your little ones will pick up on the energy. Treat your photo session as a park day, or an outside adventure. Laugh together, play together, and soak in every moment with your beautiful family. The magic of family photos happens when you are embracing the little moments together!
If you are looking for a Houston or The Woodlands family photographer to capture your sweet family, I would love to be considered! There is never a better time than now to document this season of your life.
